As CDM Practitioner, you will provide support, advice and guidance on all aspects of compliance with the relevant Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (GB, NI and ROI). You will ensure that there are appropriate systems in place to encourage communication and the sharing of relevant information between the Client, Principle Designers, Designers and Principle Contractors and those suitable arrangements are made to facilitate the General Principles of Prevention.

In addition to the above, you will act as a member of the Principal Design team where client team appointed or as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) team / where appointed, and ensure all reasonable steps are taken to maintain control over the inputs of sub-works designers ensure they comply with their duties under the relevant CDM regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should be Degree, Diploma, HND, HNC qualified in a relevant CDM / Engineering / Construction Discipline and have a minimum of NEBOSH Construction certificate, NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent). You will hold a valid CSCS Academically Qualified Person Card (or equivalent) and membership of ICE construction health & safety register, APS, IOSH or ICS (or equivalent). We would consider a candidate who is willing to develop their skills in and experience at a trainee level.

You should be an excellent communicator with a natural flair for forging relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. You will have the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload and provide coaching / mentoring when required. You will be a problem solver and critical thinker, capable of addressing complex issues, making them simple through a well-structured systematic approach. You will have the ability to understand risks and implement appropriate solutions. Above all, you will demonstrate awareness of both personal and corporate safety practices.

Due to the level of mobility required in this role a full UK driving licence is essential.

In return we can offer a benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme, share save and share incentive schemes, generous leave entitlement (with an option to purchase additional leave) plus a host of other lifestyle benefits.

This post is open to both internal and external candidates. Internal candidates, as a courtesy, please inform your line manager prior to submitting an application for this role. Successful candidates may be subject to the Company's verification and vetting process if their vetting level changes. This includes a basic criminal record check.
