Salary: Up to £35,000 Depending on experience plus bonus and excellent benefits

SSE Enterprise Telecoms own and operate one of the largest telecoms networks spanning the entire UK. We specialise in the provision of high capacity Ethernet, managed wavelengths, managed fibre and co-location services for service providers whose businesses depend upon the availability and performance of their cloud, IT and network services.

With an extensive portfolio of connectivity and a flexible approach to network configuration, we react efficiently to customer requests, providing prompt responses to quotations, delivery schedules and quick, live provision of services.

As part of our sales expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our expanding team in Havant or Reading. We are looking for candidates with experience of working in a customer focused sales environment developing new clients over the telephone. Therefore, you will be highly autonomous, enthusiastic, motivated and self-sufficient with a tenacity to succeed.

The primary purpose of the role is provide a highly customer focused Account Management function to our SSE Group Businesses. This will involve requirement-gathering, proposal writing and pricing projects for your own customers but will also including supporting the Account Directors on major projects. The role requires accurate management of your opportunities from lead to order ensuring a high level of governance and interaction with Customers, Solutions, Design and our PMO. This will extend to production of reports, presentations and commercial information in line with our Gate Process.

Your confident manner, tact, discretion and respect for confidentiality will all be invaluable in this role. You should have a thorough appreciation of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with an ability to manage your time well and prioritise your own work. With an enthusiastic approach, you will also possess the ability to make suggestions to help enhance or simplify working practices and support SSE values.  We’re looking for a willingness to learn and excellent customer engagement skills.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and be diplomatic at all times. Experience of sales reporting coupled with strong numerical and financial skills would be an advantage.  As you will be working within challenging time-scales it is imperative that you are a team player with excellent written and communication skills.

The products and services we provide range across Layer 1 to Layer 3, Contact Centres, Fibre Optics, Microwave, Satellite Solutions and Specialist Services for control systems so having a broad understanding of telecommunications is advantageous.
