Salary: £58,000 - £87,000

As the Head of Performance & Quality, you will report directly to the Director of CID for planning, with responsibility for all reporting, budgeting and delivering continuous improvement across the CID team.

You will also be accountable for all finance related matters for CID, ensuring transparency in all numbers and plans and for the management of the budget process, identifying savings and working across the teams to ensure delivery.

The role is also to measure, manage and report on all KPI’s for the team, to produce monthly reports for the leadership the operations and to assist the Director of CID to understand performance movements and create and manage action plans. You will drive action and set the pace across the teams to ensure the delivery of plans for all areas.

The candidate will provide assurance to the CID Director on the effective management of key business risks, exposure and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations within the functions of Fleet, Travel, Property and Facilities Management.

In this exciting and challenging role, you will support the Director of CID and the wider management team with programme planning of key projects and ensuring benefits are realised. As part of your responsibilities, you will manage the CID transformation programme plan which captures changes that need to be made across the function, including changes to systems, processes and structures. This is to be captured as part of a wider CID Transformation Vision that is signed onto and supported by the Executive Committee. This should be aligned with best practice, i.e. future business models.

To meet the demands of this role, you will own and deliver a communications plan for all CID employees, to engage them in the priorities and plans set out by the CID Director and to collate feedback from stakeholders. Create effective communication channels for our staff and customers, including intranet pages and staff bulletins. Compile information and key reports to improve visibility of CID performance, value contribution and activity within SSE.

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience in the following; Programme management, delivery of projects, lean or CI skills, capital management, budget management.

You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of effective business models for Property, FM, Fleet and Travel Management in large organisations.

Knowledge of the process for creating new financial year budgets and effective change management skills is essential. You will have excellent communication and planning skills and show strong analytical experience.
