Our business is powered by talented, enthusiastic people in a whole range of roles - supporting, co-ordinating and driving the business to meet our responsibilities and achieve our company goals.The Corporate Infrastructure and Development (CID) team is responsible for property, fleet, travel, innovation and facilities management across SSE, representing a £175m spend. You will be reporting into the Head of Performance and Quality for CID, responsible for programme management of the change portfolio, performance reporting and compliance assurance.
 
Working closely with the CID Leadership Team, you will manage the CID transformation programme and develop an ongoing portfolio of change projects across CID.  You will also work closely with the CID Leadership Team and teams across CID to establish an integrated business performance management framework.  You will ensure awareness of and planning for new regulatory change, and develop an audit framework to provide assurance to the CID Director that current regulatory requirements (including FCA compliance and quality assurance standards) are being met. Liaising closely with relevant stakeholders across SSE, you will manage expectations from a diverse range of customers including Executive Directors and operational staff.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced project or programme manager with full project cycle experience; preferably having set up and run PMO services. You will have audit and compliance monitoring experience, ideally in fleet, property and facilities management.  You will also have performance management experience in a complex business environment, setting and managing KPIs using tools such as balanced scorecard, strategy maps, dashboards, Lean measures, etc.  In addition to financial and budgetary management knowledge, you should have an understanding of IT architecture and project methodology, agile and waterfall.  You will have a technical understanding of process improvement deployment techniques, particularly Lean and Systems Thinking.
 
You will be educated to degree level, with relevant practitioner qualifications in Project/Programme Management, e.g. MSP/Prince 2 Practitioner or APM, as well as Lean Green/Black Belt or a similar level of continuous improvement experience. You will be resourceful and confident, able to work autonomously. Experience in coaching and supporting staff, as well as interaction up to and including director level within a FTSE-100 or equivalent sized organisation is crucial.
