As part of the SSE group, SSE Enterprise Contracting is also one of the UK's leading mechanical and electrical contractors delivering a service ranging from small re-wires to major design and build projects. We are currently engaged in a number of long term national contracts for the delivery of Electrical Services to key assets and infrastructure, and have an opportunity for a Technician to join our team based out of Leeds on a permanent basis.

This role will involve working within the domestic department, alongside some of the region’s top electricians delivering electrical services to local councils. Two technical administrators are led by a Project Manager, who you will work with to deliver a large number of varied projects across the Leeds Region.  Supervising a number of staff, you will become an integral part of the team.

To be considered for this role you must have excellent organisation skills and be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of Electrical systems operating principals and ensure compliance with the current edition of BS7671. You will have successfully completed a time-served Apprenticeship or another recognised training programme in a relevant trade and will have acquired extensive practical knowledge and competence as a Craftsman Approved Electrician, to include experience as a 'leading hand’ along with a proven track record for consistently delivering projects. In addition you will also have a thorough working knowledge of Industry Codes of Practice, relevant British Standards and Construction Industry Safety Regulations and also have obtained City & Guilds 2394/5 or equivalent.

A full UK driving licence is vital for this role as well as a passion for safety and the ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
