Job Title: Project Leader
Salary: £31,000 – £46,500 depending on skills and experience + car/cash allowance + annual bonus

As Project Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day integrity of the delivery of projects by the company business units or preferred sub-contractors. You’ll ensure that the activities of the project are planned, assigned and costed in line with projected budget and timelines, as provided by the Design Team. You will monitor project delivery as per the contractual requirements, ensuring the project is within budget and governed by both the asset owner design specifications and Health and Safety procedures.
You will ensure any issues relating to project delivery are escalated as required, and solutions identified by the relevant parties are implemented in a manner which protects the best interests of the company.
Your Skills and Experience
You’ll be proactive and energetic, seeking to get things done. You’ll have excellent communication skills, able to create a network of internal and external contacts across various disciplines.
As you will be managing different work streams it is essential that you have strong and confident negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage, motivate and co-ordinate multi-disciplined team members, consultants and contractors.
Ideally you’ll have experience in MS Project and will already have strong Microsoft Office skills. You should display good leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills as you will be dealing with internal and external customers.
Solid commercial acumen and an ability to effectively manage project risks, programmes and expenditure is necessary as is the capacity to deliver high quality work in a demanding environment. An ability to act as the key Project Leader contact for the business will be a must for this role.
Previous experience in a Multi Utility Project Management role would be advantageous, although previous experience in any single Utility would be acceptable.
