Job Title: Mechanical Rotating Plant Engineer

Location: Medway Power Station, Isle of Grain

Salary: £42,500 – £63,500 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

Permanent | Full Time Hours

The Role

As one of the technical experts on site you will be responsible for mechanical rotating plant asset maintenance, investigate plant defects, provide detailed root cause analysis and solutions. Improvement on safety, environmental, reliability and flexibility is important to us, so you will be required to contribute ideas and solutions which improve the safety, reliability, availability and efficiency of the asset.

You will have to ability to effectively recognise the need and requirement to provide direction and mentoring to others. You will have a good understanding of PMMS’s to enable you to effectively manage the existing maintenance strategy and to advise on areas of improvement to ensure the plant remains safe, efficient in a very competitive power generation market.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will be educated to a minimum of HND level in a mechanical discipline and have experience of completing a similar role with a heavy engineering industry. Due to your experience you will have knowledge of contract legislation, regulation relating to Health and Safety and detailed knowledge in regard to legislation for mechanical systems.

Good communication skills are essential to ensure you can work across multidiscipline teams and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
