Salary: £31,000 - £46,500 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

Permanent | Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available | 37 hours per week

Our Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Delivery Manager within our Transmission business, based in either Glasgow or Perth. As Performance Delivery Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Performance Team reporting to the Performance Manager.  You’ll be responsible for identifying business improvements from a variety of sources and importantly you’ll prioritise those that are taken forward and responded to.  You will lead the development and implementation of business improvements achieved through a collaborative and evidence-based approach to developing systems, processes and solutions.  In addition, you will be responsible for improving the performance reporting capability of the business and play a key role in the day to day running of the business in terms of recruitment and headcount management, engagement of external resources and other important business performance metrics.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a wide range of business stakeholders to drive our performance and deliver business improvements.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful, we ask that you have a sound understanding of our business and the regulated market we operate in; specific knowledge and experience within Transmission would be advantageous however not essential. You should also have a track record of identifying change opportunities and implementing solutions, to time and budget targets; experience in forward planning in the medium to long term (5-10 years) would also be preferred.

You’ll be a customer focused individual, with a passion for bettering our processes and the experience of those involved. Your communication skills will be of a very high level, and you’ll hold an ability to network and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience with financial analysis and budget management experience is essential.

At Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), our skilled teams operate and maintain our electricity distribution and transmission networks, carrying electricity to over 3.7 million homes across the north of the Central Belt of Scotland and Central Southern England.

 

Transmission operates under licence as Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission plc, responsible for the transmission of electricity in the north of Scotland. We own and maintain the 33kV, 132kV, 275kV and 400kV electricity transmission network in our licence area. Our network comprises of underground cables, overhead wooden poles, steel towers and electricity substations, and it extends over a quarter of the UK land mass across some of its most challenging terrain.
