Job Title: Project Manager – Energy Solutions

Location: South Wales/South West

Salary: £36,500  – £55,000 depending on skills and experience + bonus and car allowance

You’ll work in our Energy Solutions business – SSE’s energy optimisation division - within the Projects department in the South West. Energy Solutions has an established and growing portfolio of commercial and public sector clients who rely upon the business to install, support and optimise their building management controls infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities:

- Managing a team of Commissioning Engineers who design, install and upgrade customer systems within the South West, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope and budget.
- Responsibility for effective project management to create the best possible levels of productive working, creation of efficiencies and customer satisfaction
- Managing the technical and commercial aspects of projects you will ensure targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded
- Liaising with Project Sales Engineers and the Commercial team on contract conditions, you’ll ensure the company’s financial interests are protected at all times.
- Carrying out Performance Management reviews with direct reports, you’ll ensure objectives are clearly set, skill gaps identified and development plans developed and reviewed
- Ensuring that all Performance Management reviews are agreed, reviewed and documented in the required format.
- Regularly review and improve operating processes to ensure efficiencies are identified and maximised
- Providing forecasting and reporting information

Your Skills and Experience

- Previous experience of working in an operational role and as a project manager within the BMS & Controls, Construction or Mechanical & Electrical industry where you had management responsibilities
- Have the ability to think laterally and creatively to develop innovative solutions to challenges and identify opportunities for improvement and advantage
- You’ll be resilient and tenacious and possess a strong value set
- Excellent communication skills are essential to maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including customers and external service providers
- Professional manner and be dedicated to meeting customer expectations
