Salary: SS09 £44,195 - £58,371 depending on skills and experience car/cash allowance

Permanent| Full Time Hours with flexible working available | 37 hours per week

 

Our Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Project Managers to join our Strategic Investment team based in our prestigious new premises in Reading, One Forbury Place, conveniently located in Reading town centre. This new location offers new flexibility in the way we work, and, this role can be carried out splitting time between the office and either your home or another SSEN location. 

As a Project manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a range of projects in accordance with our investment management process.  You will be responsible for all aspects of the project including safety, quality, cost and programme. You will be part of a project management team working closely with design engineers, field staff, contractors, customers, stakeholders, ICP’s and IDNO’s.

 

Your Skills and Experience

You’ll have previous experience of managing projects in a construction environment and ideally experience of managing electricity industry projects.  An engineering qualification is preferred and a recognised qualification in Project Management would be advantageous.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital, and you will need to be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. You will be experienced in the Construction Design and Management Regulations and understand the duties of Client, Principal Designer and Principal Contractor. You will need to be experienced in contract management and ideally have experience of NEC contracts.  You will also need to possess good problem-solving skills and can thrive under pressure.
