Salary - £21,161 to 27,947 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits

Permanent – Full Time Hours

Our Business Energy teams supply over 500,000 customer accounts, across broad and diverse client base. Our teams serve a broad and diverse range of clients from micro businesses to large national corporates, providing a unique service to each business with a commitment to keeping our client’s interests at heart and helping to control energy costs.

The Role

This fast paced and rewarding role will involve working as a team, handling up to 2,000 inbound queries daily from our SME business customers predominantly via telephone and email, build rewarding relationships with customers as you offer them SSE’s unparalleled service levels, recommending the best solutions to suit our customers individual needs in a fast, evolving environment.

You will be working towards set targets as part of a team using established guidelines, procedures and process driven methodology. As part of this we will be looking for you to come up with and contribute to ideas to improve customer service and processes within the team. The ideal candidate will actively be promoting and encouraging customer retention at all customer touch points.

As well as the inbound customer queries you will be helping with invoice validation and making sure the customer information system is always updated with any calls. This will involve adhering to all SSE Business Energy quality requirements throughout.

The successful applicant will be customer and quality-focused, organised, have exceptional attention to detail and passionate about delivering service excellence at all times as well.

Anything else?

We are looking for you to have the ability to demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills together with the ability to use own initiative, persuasion and commercial awareness. Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills would be extremely beneficial in the role. Fluent written and spoken English as well as high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and previous experience in a customer service environment would also be beneficial.
