Job Title: Development Administrator

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £18,900 – £28,700 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits.

Permanent Full Time Hours with flexible working patterns available

The Role

As Development Administrator, you’ll be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Project Development team. The role will involve establishing and maintaining practical and quality governance for administrative processes, data gathering/analysis and the ability to multi-task to meet demanding priorities.

Some of your other accountabilities will include;

-Provide support in raising purchase orders and receipting invoices for onshore and offshore projects.

-Liaise with the Accounts Payable team when required in order to manage all invoices and requisitions.

-Create and maintain effective administrative documentation and procedures, continuously monitoring these to ensure consistency.

-Challenge poor processes or system design constructively, in order to achieve a more efficient working environment in Project Development. 

-Ensure all work is carried out safely in line with SSE safety family and five golden rules.

-Engage with initiatives and collaborate with others to improve health, safety and the working environment.

-Support booking of travel, meeting rooms, accommodation and car hire for Director of Development and the wider Project Development team, ensuring a cost-effective approach at all times

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who has demonstrable experience within a similar administrative role, and who has an understanding of financial processes such as invoice processing and raising purchase orders.

You’ll be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc. and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret, simplify and explain often complex information to colleagues and stakeholders on a variety of levels. You’ll be a conscientious team player, capable of managing your work load effectively and producing high quality work within the required deadlines.
