As a result of this recent restructure, an exciting opportunity has been created for two Finance Managers to join the finance team under the SSE Customer Energy Solutions Business.

You will coordinate monthly reporting, budgeting & forecasting activities for specific areas, prepare variance analysis, provide insight & identify key trends to support strategic business planning. The role is also key in maintaining robust financial controls and the compliance framework for SSE Airtricity & includes assistance in improving business processes. The role includes management accounting and financial control duties and will have exposure to ensuring compliance with regulatory, tax & company law. The role will also require interaction with key personnel in the operational business on how best to manage their annual budgets.

Your Skills and Experience

-Effectively communicating financial performance to operational colleagues to embed financial understanding within the business

-Ability to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously

-Interpreting and assimilating multiple data sources, including external market data, and rendering into meaningful insight and appropriate recommendations and clear actions

-Operationally and commercially focused

-Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

-Able to develop, motivate and lead a diverse team

-Excellent knowledge of current regulations including new financial accounting standards

-Influence strategy and translate this into actionable programmes, opportunities or activities that result in improved profitability or risk mitigation

-Fully qualified accountant with significant experience Post Qualified in a Finance Manager/Management Accountant business-interfacing role with experience of solving business issues of similar scale and complexity, developing, motivating and leading a diverse, and multi-locational team

-Knowledge of Irish energy market and an understanding of underlying market segments & product profitability tools

-Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly excel)
